Entering the LightHouse Awards is a simple, step-by-step process. 
Follow the guide below to ensure your submission is complete and ready for judging.

Step 1: Complete Your Entry Application

Submit an online application for each project you wish to enter.

  • One application per entry
  • Entries must be submitted by August 31, 2026 (close of business)
  • Payment must be made by August 31, 2026 (close of business). Payments can be made by check or credit card.

Step 2: Select Your Category

Choose the appropriate category for your project based on:

  • Project type
  • Scope of work
  • Final construction or remodel cost

Step 3: Add Your Project Team

Within your builder portal, complete the Subcontractor & Supplier selection form by selecting the HBA members you worked with from a pre-populated list.

No separate list upload is required.

Step 4: Upload Required Documents

Each entry must include:

  • Final building permit from the respective municipality
  • Signed entry release

All documents are uploaded directly through your builder portal.

Step 5: Submit Initial Photos

At the time of entry, upload:

  • One front exterior (professional photography not required)

Remodel entries must also include:

  • Before and after photos (same angle preferred)

Step 6: Upload Final Images for the Gala

Deadline: September 15, 2026

  • Submit 6 professional images per entry
  • Remodel entries may submit up to 10 images total (including before & after)

Required views:

  • Exterior Front
  • Exterior Rear
  • Kitchen
  • Primary Bedroom
  • Bathroom
  • Great / Living Room

Photo Guidelines:

  • Upload through the builder portal
  • Label each file with Company Name + Property Address
  • Submit 6 professional images per entry
  • Remodel entries: include before & after (up to 10 images total)

Required Photo Categories:

  • Exterior Front
  • Exterior Rear
  • Kitchen
  • Primary Bedroom
  • Bathroom
  • Great / Living Room

Photo Guidelines:

  • Upload through the builder portal
  • Clearly label each file with Company Name + Property Address

Step 7: Prepare for Judging

  • In-person judging will take place October 1–3, 2026
  • You will receive a detailed schedule in advance

Before You Submit

Make sure you have:

  • Completed your application
  • Selected the correct category
  • Uploaded required documents
  • Submitted initial photos
